2019: We had the first workshop, Her Stories in the Age of AI, at the AWMAT (Alliance of Women in Media Art and Technology) 2019 in Santa Barbara. Our workshop proposal started like this "Where is SHE in the age of artificial intelligence (A.I.)? In the robot face, in the photo dataset, or in the voice of assistive system? No. She is, we are, in the group of artists leading the exploration of new possibilities of the cutting-edge technologies and embarking on an experimental yet considerable step in the development of media art. "
2019: Before our first workshop some of our members were involved in this all-women symposium, Paradox: Frames and Biases in Art and AI, at the Miller ICA in Pittsburgh.Â
